Play the improved Become a Virtual Groninger game

For Marketing Groningen we developed an update to the game Become a Virtual Groninger (please note: the game was playable for a limited time). The focus was to improve the experience and to add new functionalities. Compared to version 1 these are the changes:
- Store your favourites / locations, that are accessible from the menu
- Generate a city map with your favourites, to use when you visit Groningen IRL
- There are more separate scenes
- The new sidebar eases navigation
- An interactive city map makes exploring easier
- Sharing on social media is easier
- Changes to graphics and audio enhance the experience
- You can become a member of the Marketing Groningen newsletter for updates about this wonderful city

About the game
The game is built around 360° photos and is divided into four levels. You can play the levels chronologically or skip around and play through each level whenever you choose. Each level focusses on an element of student life, from the city’s highlights to living in a typical student house. You can also attend a virtual lecture, followed by a digital night on the town. A virtual map gives a clear overview of the entire city. Save your favourite hotspots along the way to create your own personalised city map.
Once you arrive in the city for real, you can easily find saved spots and visit them in person. Every level features information, short quizzes and mini tasks about (student life in) Groningen. After completing all the levels, you will earn the title of ‘virtual Groninger’ and can come pick up a Groningen survival kit from the Groningen Store (VVV) at the Forum Groningen.
