Het is de eerste expositie in Nederland waar kunst van beeldschermen wordt vertaald naar de echte wereld met nieuwe technieken als rotoscoping en fotogrammetrie.<\/p>\n<p>Er zijn veel kunstenaars nodig om kunst te maken voor virtuele werelden, vari\u00ebrend van het tekenen van gras en bomen die wuiven in de wind, tot het zorgen voor realistische schaduwen. Elk detail in games wordt samengesteld door een team van ontwerpers en kunstenaars.<\/p>\n<p>In het museum zijn werken en werelden te zien in virtual reality,<br \/>3D-prints van game-artefacten, interactieve installaties, gamediorama&#8217;s en concept art van de beste digitale schilders ter wereld. Bezoekers kunnen kunst bewonderen uit games als Horizon Zero Dawn (<em>2018, Guerrilla<\/em>), Fallout 4 (<em>2015, Bethesda Games<\/em>), Desperados III (<em>2020,<\/em> <em>Mimimi Games<\/em>) en Dishonored 2 (<em>2016, Arkane Studios<\/em>). Hij combineert deze dingen tot kleurrijke sciencefiction. Waar gebouwen worden gemaakt om mooi te zijn en honderden jaren mee te gaan. Waar technologie de omgeving doordrenkt met visuele po\u00ebzie. En waar minimalisme tot een minimum wordt beperkt.<\/p>\n<h5>Inspiratie<\/h5>\n<p>Kunstenaars als Moebius (Jean Giraud), Jeroen Bosch, M.C. Escher, Marc Giai-Miniet en Antoni Gaudi zijn een inspiratiebron voor Durk, wegens de wereldopbouwende kwaliteit in hun werk. Het toont negen bekende voorwerpen, zoals Corvo\u2019s Mask uit Dishonored 2 en het medaillon dat Geralt of Rivia draagt in gameserie The Witcher.
